Lunch for First Day at Junior Law Academy

Yesterday (Monday, June 13th) was my first day at Junior Law Academy.  This is a program put on by our local Sheriff’s  Office – Youth Services to allow 7th and 8th graders learn all about Law Enforcement practices and training.  We will be doing a number of activities throughout the 2 weeks of the program, including Polygraph testing, K-9 training, SWAT training, and a lot more.  Because I have to wake up early every day for JLA (and it IS summer), I’m not going to have enough time to get into really creative bento lunches so they might be a little boring the next 2 weeks.  For the first day of JLA, I decided to try to do a quick Sheriff’s badge in honor of our local sheriff’s department.

The sandwich is just ham & cheese on a whole wheat sandwich thin cut into a star with provolone cheese circle on to & blueberries at each point of the star.  Mango slices, cherry tomatoes, a cheese circle, snap pea crisps and a rice bar are included for snacks.

I made a quick lunch for my little brother too.  His is a peanut butter sandwich cut into a T-Rex with an icing eye. A mango mochi for the sun, snap pea crisps for the grass, carrots cut into birds and Choco boy mushrooms.  Carrot sticks, blueberries, cranberries and almonds on the side for snacks.
